Spring is upon us, just take a look at the beautiful weather and flowers outside! Spring cleaning isn’t just a chore we all dread come the nice spring time weather, but it actually burns calories! Yep it’s true, you could burn upwards of 400 calories an hour just by cleaning your home or apartment or condo for that matter! I would recommend choosing house cleaning chores that work different groups of muscles if you intend to substitute house cleaning for a workout. Just remember to throw in some cardio and you should have a total body workout and even get some chores done, alas multi-tasking! Here are some great spring cleaning activities with calorie burn totals.

I had the great pleasure of working with Alyison today on Fox and Friends. The segment was all about utilizing products laying around the home that you wouldn't even think about using to workout on a budget.
How could you not have fun using pasta sauce bottles to tone your arms in between fixing dinner for the kids?
Check out the link it's quite entertaining!

Just got back from Florida where I was invited to be a guest on The Balancing Act on Lifetime. My book SEXY in 6 was featured with some sample exercises that women can do in the comfort of their own living room in just 6 minute chunks of time. Airing Febuary 7th at 7am so don't forget to check it out!
Talk soon,

Just finished a great shoot for Earth Footwear as their Fitness and Lifestyle Expert. We shot the infomercial in Orange, California. Such a cute town I was so surprised, it reminded me of S Pasadena with a lot of history and old houses. I had the pleasure of working with Katy Santiago, Physics Wellness Instructor who is also a spokesperson too and so very talented. The video will be used domestically and internationally, educating the public on why Earth Footwear should be a part of your everyday routine.
By wearing Earth Footwear you will be targeting your calves, hamstrings, glutes and abs due to the 3.7 degrees incline in the shoe. The shoes place the toe higher than the heel bringing your body back in to a neutral alignment.

2009 is the year to make healthy changes. Remember without your health you have nothing, I know this too well with a big history of breast cancer in my family including my mother who is a survivor of over 15 years. If you're at the point where you're just tired of not being yourself and you want to get back in shape then it's time to join the Sexy in 6 Challenge on Team Mallett.
All you need is my book Sexy in 6 and the two 6 Minute QuickBlast Method videos to join the group. You will have me to guide you for the next six weeks starting January 19th. Don't miss the opportunity as my schedule may not allow me to do this for a while due to my next book SuperFit Mama being published in May.
Hope to see you in the group and Happy New Year!
Best,
Tracey :)

It's Christmas Eve and it's time to get ready for Santa. My kids are crazy, they're so excited and that's an understatement. I really love this time of year to reflect on what we truly have to be thankful for, friends, health and most importantly your family. My close family is split between Los Angeles and England, luckily my parents moved here over two years ago but everyone else is across seas, weep, weep!!! I do miss them and they will be close in my thoughts and heart :)
2009 is rapidly approaching, start to think about your goals for 2009 then write them down and put a loose plan in place. I always put my goals in order of importance and try to place a realistic time limit. I'm very competitive so this pushes me a little harder. A good place to post them is on your household calender or your personal note book so they're constantly visable and a gentle reminder.
Good luck and look forward to working with you in the New Year.
Love and wishes to you at the most special time of year!
Tracey :)

| Throughout the year I have reviewed some of the best and worst fitness DVDs to hit the market. Unfortunately, roughly only 12 of my reviews actually make it to print. That leaves hundreds of noteworthy DVDs behind. |
With the holidays quickly approaching, I decided to share with you my personal favorites to spare you the heartache of buying or receiving workouts that don't work.

Its unbelievable how much our portions have grown over the last 20-30 years. Our view of what actual food portions are have totally been distorted, this is one of the reasons why we have an epidemic of obesity especially with our children.
Check out one of my segments on The Style Network on Portion Distortion.
Enjoy!
